Set in the Manor of Groves Hotel, Golf & Country Club is set in 150 acres of beautiful rolling Hertfordshire countryside, yet is only 10 miles from Stansted Airport. Charity Night at the Manor of Groves
 

The Stansted Airport Business Group are pleased to announce details of the Anniversary Charity Dinner & Auction that will be held on 15th June 2007 at the Manor of Groves. The highlight of the evening will be the Charity Auction in aid of Essex Air Ambulance.  We are all very excited and enthusiastic about this event and do hope that you will want to support such a worthy cause.

 

Essex Air Ambulance is a charity that is very important to the area and, as with all charities, requires continuous support from local donors and supporters. So, we are asking local companies to please make contributions for the auction and to reserve a table for the evening. 

The format of the evening will include a champagne reception in the wonderful gardens of the Manor of Groves, a sumptuous 3-course meal, wine, & coffee.  Entertainment, dancing till midnight and not forgetting our all important charity auction. There will even be some "special" guests!

 

The dress code will be formal, which means suit and tie for the gentlemen and evening trousers/dresses for the ladies. Black ties and ball gowns are purely optional – dress to impress!

Tickets are now on sale for just £50.00 + VAT.  We also have tables of six, eight or ten available for entertaining favourite clients or treat your staff to a prestigious night out with the cream of local businesses.  If you only require one ticket - that is NOT a problem, come and join in the fun!

The Charity

The Essex Air Ambulance Trust is a registered charity and is not funded by either the NHS or Government. The total costs for this valuable life-saving service has to be found from charitable donations from the general public and local businesses.

The Essex Air Ambulance Trust needs in excess of £105,000 each month to keep the helicopter fully operational. The bottom line is, no money, no Air Ambulance!

It is never more than eight minutes flying time from any one of the major hospitals in Essex flying at a speed of 160 miles per hour.

Operational seven days a week, the Air Ambulance flies on average 3-5 missions a day, and so far, over 6,000 missions have been flown since the service was commissioned.
